Dr. Mercedes Cook is an upper cervical chiropractor in San Diego, California. In her practice she uses a highly specific and gentle technique to realign the neck to restore proper nervous system function and posture. Dr. Mercedes is currently a candidate in the Diplomate of Cranial Cervical Junction program to become one of the top specialists providing upper cervical care. She is extremely passionate about advancing the upper cervical profession and speaking on its behalf.Dr Mercedes received her first upper cervical adjustment at age 18 after having severe hip pain, anxiety and sleeping issues for 6 months straight. She had tried the medical route to fix the issue and nothing worked! Thankfully she was recommended to an upper cervical provider near her hometown for chiropractic care. It only took one adjustment for the hip pain to go away and anxiety to decrease.
After that moment she realized right away her calling was to be an Upper Cervical Chiropractor and to help others restore their bodies to normal function without the use of drugs or surgery.She completed her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Miami University in Oxford, OH. Then went on to chiropractic school at Life University in Marietta, GA.Outside of the office you can find her with her husband and French Bulldog walking the bay/beach, hiking, golfing or walking to the nearest coffee shop. Some of her favorite things are traveling to new places, trying new restaurants and reading a good book.

Dr. Denicio Drake

Dr. Denicio Drake completed his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. He then went on to chiropractic school at Life West in Hayward, CA. Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Drake moved back to San Diego to continue his chiropractic career. Dr. Drake had neck and back pain from multiple high school football injuries. During chiropractic college, he received full spine adjustments that only gave him temporary relief and once under upper cervical care, his neck and back pain completely went away. He signed up for the Blair elective and then later became president of the Blair club. After understanding the full potential upper cervical care has, he decided to fully invest his time in school to further his understanding in the Blair technique. Outside of the office you can find him taking his dog to the nearest dog park or beach, at the gym, or eating at a new restaurant. Some of his favorite things to do are go to sporting events, go to concerts, and sitting by the pool or the beach.
